The second year of the HVAC-R program provides classroom instruction on the principles of residential heating and light commerical air-conditioning including heat pumps. You will gain a working knowledge of the various types of motors and compressors, electrical controls, valves and tubing. Participants interested in gaining hands-on experience should also enroll in HVAC Practical Training.
Prerequisite: HVAC-R I. Textbook and safety glasses are required.
